Photo of the month launch

Do you download your underwater photos after a dive and store them on your computer for them never to see the light of day again? Do you want to help protect the best of Scottish marine life?
Dont banish your photos to a life of boredom on your computer put them to good use and help protect the wildlife of Scotlands first ever Marine Reserve at the same time.
What do you have to do?
Its simple; just email the Ranger one photograph of something you saw on your dive today. It could be something out of the ordinary, or something you see on every dive. Doesnt matter if the photo is a bit out of focus we want to see it!
Why?
Your photographs are an important record of whats out there. They will help increase our understanding of whats living in the Marine Reserve, and help us protect it more effectively.
What happens to my photo?
The Marine Reserve Ranger, Georgia, will pick one Photo of the Month to go on the Marine Reserve website, www.marine-reserve.co.uk. All the photos will be used to build up a picture of the diverse wildlife of the Reserve.
The first photo of the month comes from Mark Webster, who sent in a photo of a familiar sighting in the marine reserve the edible sea urchin (Echinus esculentus). Mark commented that he had never seen one with such long tentacles before.
Email your photo to Georgia, the Ranger at [email protected] with details of where and when the photo was taken.
