IntroductionSituated just 50 yards from the harbour edge Springbank Cottage offers you the ideal opportunity to unwind completely. For the active there are many lovely walks in the immediate vicinity or in the hills close by. There are opportunities for both sea and river fishing and boat trips can be taken from the harbour. St. Abbs with its crystal clear water is a well known scuba diving area and St. Abbs Head is a noted National Trust Nature Reserve which boasts a wide variety of bird life and a glorious sandy beach lies five minutes walk along the cliffs. The historical town of Berwick is just twelve miles away and St. Abbs is within an hours drive of Edinburgh and many Border towns with their mill shops. Lindesfarne on the Holy Isle, the Farne Islands and the Cheviot Hills can also be reached easily. For the less active you can relax in the Tea Garden and observe the Cormorants, the waves crashing on the rocks, the fishermen mending their nets and you might even catch sight of the occasional seal. AccommodationAt this charming, cosy 19th century fisherman's cottage you will find a friendly, homely atmosphere, courteous service and comfortable accommodation. There are three bedrooms to let, a double room, a twin room and a small double (large single) all with stunning sea views. All rooms offer colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and wash-hand basins. Springbank Cottage is child and dog friendly and is a 'smoke-free' zone.
